Day Trip at Blue Coral Beach Resort – Laiya, San Juan Batangas

This is the continuation of my previous post “Travel Plan Details: Blue Coral – Laiya, San Juan Batangas” .

At last we were able to go on with our outing last May 25, 2014. We were eight in the group and decided  to use only one vehicle for our travel. Our call time was  6:00 a.m.  at 7/11 main branch in Lucena City because our day tour schedule is from 8:00-am – 5:00 pm. We were six from Lucena, the other two were from Sariaya and Candelaria both were municipalities that we can pass by on the way to Laiya.

Since it was still early when we left Lucena, we were not able to eat breakfast so we had to stop at Jollibee in San Juan, Batangas at around 8:00 am. Afterwards, we moved ahead to Blue Coral Beach Resort which took only 30 minutes if i’m not mistaken.

As we arrived at the resort, the security guard approached us to ask if we did make a reservation. Of course we said yes and it was reserved under my name. So we proceed to the resort lobby and showed our printed vouchers I bought from Ensogo . We were given 24 meal stubs (8 for am snack, 8 for buffet lunch and 8 for pm snack).

One of the resort staff brought us to our nipa hut/cottage located in the beach front which was already included in our promo package.

We were excited on this trip so the first thing we did was to do a groupie shot haha! Thanks for Jim’s selfie pod/monopod and to his Iphone5s .

First groupie... :) Incomplete. Kuya Dennis is missing. Mam Len is not looking haha!

We were informed that am snacks will be served from 9:00-10:00 am so after few minutes of fixing our things, we went to the buffet table and have our snacks. It was indicated in our stub that am snacks were light meals only so we have tuna sandwich and iced tea for drinks. By the way they offer unlimited iced tea and water.

After snack time, we went to the pool area. We left our things in the cottage except for my bag where we put all our important belongings and kuya Dennis’ bag that contains all his camera and accessories.

It’s almost lunch time when we went back to our cottage. Again we have to line in the buffet table to get our lunch. I wasn’t able to take pictures of the foods and I can’ t remember everything but one of the most memorable food for me is the  fish kebab (we all thought it’s chicken kebab hahaha!). Some of us actually got 2 sticks of it thinking it’s chicken. Somehow they were disappointed. But if you’re on a diet, then you’d like to eat it.

We were thinking whether to go kayaking first or have a banana boat ride after eating our lunch. Kayaking was included in our package good for 30 minutes while the banana boat ride has additional fee. There’s no available kayak yet because there were plenty of guests in the resort. So we talked to the banana boat operator and asked for the price. He told us that there were 2 banana boats. One is good for 6 persons-P1500.00 and the other one is good for 10 persons-P2500.00. We’re only 6 in the group because Kuya Juny and Mark doesn’t want to ride so we chose the first one and paid P250.00 each. The banana boat operator allowed Kuya Juny and Mark to ride on the speed boat and became our photographer which is a must. Our ride last for almost 15 minutes. Take a look on some of our photos. Thanks to my Sony DSC-WX80 and to my boyfriend’s GoPro Hero3+ we were able to document that experience.

We were ask by the speed boat driver if we want to be dropped instead of the usual ending of a banana boat ride. Of course there will be no thrill if we will not be dropped so we said yes. He said that he will raise his hands if we will be drop already and that we also have to raise our hand and then hold to our vest once we fall into the water. After a few minutes I saw him raised his hands so I hold my life vest and my other hand covered my nose. I already know the feeling because it’s my 2nd time to experience it. My first time was also in Laiya when I was with my cousins at Kabayan Beach Resort.

Banana Boat Ride Drop

Banana Boat Ride Drop

Around 1:30 in the afternoon we finished our banana boat ride. The drop experience was really fun even though one of my office mate like me also doesn’t know how to swim and still afraid even we have life vest. Again we have to do photo ops as a remembrance.

We took some rest after the ride. Then, two of us (Rey Ann & Mark) decided to avail their free kayak ride followed by Kuya Dennis and Kuya Juny. See the following photos taken using Kuya Dennis’ Canon EOS 7d

I already felt that I was exposed too much to sunlight so I decided not to go kayaking anymore as well as Dave (my bf), Mam Len and Jim.

We went to the pool again and brought our junk foods there and bought some drinks. Guests are allowed to bring their own drinks but with corresponding corkage fee.  We had photo sessions again and again and again.

FOOD1 EAT1

It’s around 2:15 in the afternoon when we went back to our cottage. We had our jump shot, and took a groupie video. Take a look at the edited video in the last part of this post.

1, 2, 3, JUMP!!!

Afterwards we played volleyball under the sun. It’s hard to play because of the temperature of the sand and the heat of the sun so our game last only for a while.

It’s snack time so we went to the buffet table to get our snacks. According to our stub it’s a heavy meal. We were given carbonara, bread  (tasty to be exact) and unlimited iced tea . All of us have leftovers because we ate junk foods in the pool area and maybe because the food doesn’t taste so good well it doesn’t taste so bad either. Meaning the taste was just average. Afterwards we took a quick dip into the beach and had an underwater documentation. 🙂

Again we were back to the pool area and played in the kids pool. It’s colder there rather than the adult pool. We stayed in the fountain like structure of the pool.  Some of us even went under the mini bridge.

It’s past 5:00 pm already so we took a shower and prepared our things to go home. But the photo shoot was not yet over. We ask one of the resort staff to take pictures of us before we go home. Many thanks to him.

GOINGHOME1

Bye bye Blue Coral

GOINGHOME2

See you next time

During our arrival we were advised that before leaving the resort we should secure a gate pass at the lobby that will be given to the security guard. Without the gate pass means you have an unsettled payment in the resort therefore you’ll not be allowed to leave. So we went to the lobby and ask for our gate pass and leave the resort.

That ends our day trip at Blue Coral Beach Resort. For more inquiries about the resort you can CLICK HERE to visit their website.

The video below is a compilation of  our our stay at Blue Coral Resort edited by one of my office mates. Please watch thanks!
